In Athens... Theseus and Hippolyta discuss their wedding. Their wedding is to be held in four days. They want the time to go by quick, so they keep occupied. In the meantime, Egues, a citizen of Athens, come into the area with his daughter Hermia. He is persistent that Hermia marries Demetrius when she is in love with Lysander. Eqeus gives hermia the choice to marry Demetrius, die or become a nun.
Act III (Climax)
Hermia, refusing to obey her father's rules, tells Lysander the situation. Lysander comes up with the idea to get together and run away, so that they an get married themselves.
Act IV (Falling Action)
A fairy named Puck was told to put a love potion on Demetrius' eyes, but he put it on Lysander's eyes instead while they were all asleep.
Act V (Resolution)
An antidope is put on Lysander's eyes., so he will fall out of love with Helena. Demetrius loves Helena. Lysander loves Hermia
Theseus finds Lysander, Hermia, Demetrius and Helena in the woods and announces that a triple wedding will be held.
A triple wedding occurs: Theseus and Hippolyta, Lysander and Hermia, Demetrius and Helena. They all live happily ever after.
