King Louis XVI calls forth the Estates General and removes him. The Third Estate form the national assembly. Angry revolutionaries make a statement against monarchy. The Declaration of Rights of Man is written saying that men are equal.
The Civil Constitution of Clergy is published. The government begins to sell church land due to the need of money. King Louis and his family attempt to leave France but are caught. The King is forced to go on trial.

The King is sentenced to death and thousands of people are executed. This caused conflict between the Jacobins and the Girondins. Maximilien arises as a new leader but is quickly executed. The Girodins gain power.
I finally got the throne back!
The Napoleon engineers overthrown the Directory and a new government called the Consulate is created. Bonaparte leads the French Army. During this time of peace, Napoleon restores order in France. Napoleon send an army to reestablish control over Saint Domingue and passes a slave trade law.

The Battle of Leipzig occurs and Napoleon's forces are defeated. Napoleon is banished to Elba, a Mediterranean island.
He eventually escapes and takes back the French throne. At the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon gets banished again and his house is guarded constantly. Napoleon eventually dies at the age of 51.
