"On one side of the river the golden foothill slopes curve up to the strong and rocky Gabilan mountains"
"What you want a dead mouse for anyways?"
"Sure we are, if you gather up some dead willow sticks. I got three cans of beans in my bindle. I'll give you a match when you get the sticks together. Then we'll heat up the beans and have supper."
When Lennie and George interact, there is definitely a brotherly bond between them. You can really tell that they bond well together. George is kind of a parent figure to Lennie. George spends quite a bit of his time yelling at him and fighting with him but he knows what is best for Lennie and that's all he wants for him. In their setting, there is a lot of hostile feelings from George. He is very upset that they couldn't get to the ranch but they make the best of it. They should be used to the setting that they are in and they make the best of it.
"Lets have different color rabbits, George." "Sure we will. Red and blue and green rabbits, Lennie. Millions of 'em."
"They made their beds on the sand, as the blaze dropped from the fire the sphere of light grew smaller;"
"I got you! You can't keep a job and you lose me ever' job I get. Just keep me shovin' all over the country all the time. An' that ain't the worst. You get in trouble. You do bad things and I got to get you out."
