Battles of Lexington and Concord-April 19, 1775
King George III and England was furious with the actions of the British Tea Party. With their response, they fired back with the Intolerable Acts. These laws were revenge. Boston Harbor is closed until the debt is paid back for tea by colonists, town meetings are banned, British officials face trial in England, not the colonies, and soldier can settle in homes and buildings without criticism.
In response to the Intolerable Acts, even though meetings are illegal, 12 out of 13 colonies meet. They talk about the stirring topics and agree that they all support the protests and boycotts in Massachusetts. They decide to build a military against England secretely.
After more and more conflict with the British and the colonists, a battle begins on April 19th, 1775. This war is the first in the American Revolutionary War and is certainly not the last that leads to the freedom of America. The colonists actually leave with a victory, showing how they are not just people used for money.
