Mrs. Mallard falls into her sister Josephine's arms, accompanied by her husbands friend Richard, when she receives the information that her husband has died

Mrs. Mallard sunk herself into an armchair looking out the window noticing the scenery as she grieved about her dead husband.
Josephine assists Mrs. Mallard down the stairs as Richards waits patiently when suddenly someone starts to open the front door.
The person who was unlatching the door was Brently Mullard, Mrs. Mullards not so dead husband. He wasn't around the crash when it occurred however he walked into his home to soon see his wife die in front of him.
