  • This is Franklin Delano Roosevelt as a baby with his mom, Sara Roosevelt, dad, James Roosevelt, and half brother, James Roosevelt (Jr.). Franklin Roosevelt was born on January 30 of 1882 in Hyde Park NY. He grew up with 4 dogs.

  • Franklin Delano Roosevelt was extremely smart and was very popular. At the age of 9 he had private tutors and the fall after he turned 14 he went to an exclusive school called Groton and graduated in 1900.

  • Franklin Delano Roosevelt took office in March 1933 and at that time there were 13 million unemployed Americans. In 1936 unemployment began improving, it used to be 25% of Americans, and Roosevelt helped reduce it down to 14% unemployed Americans. Franklin Delano Roosevelt's idol was his cousin Theodore Roosevelt.

  • Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the only President to be reelected four times. He led the United States through the Great Depression and WWII.He was reelected again in November of 1940 . He helped make the strategy to defeat Germany. This is Franklin and his wife, Eleanor Roosevelt. They had 5 children together, 1 daughter and 4 sons. He and his wife owned 5 dogs together.
  • Franklin Delano Roosevelt was an Episcopalian. He was baptized in the chapel of St. James Episcopal Church in Hyde Park, New York. His favorite hymn was "Eternal Father Strong to Save." This hymn was used by the United States Navy at that time.
  • Franklin delano Roosevelt died on April 12, 1945 from a Cerebral Hemorrhage in Warm Springs, GA. His last words were "I have a terrific headache!" HIs 12 years as president set a precedent for the expansion of presidential power and redefined Liberalism. People today know him as F.D.R.
