Montresor gave Fortunato a draught of Medoc to help with the dampness... and to get him more intoxicated. They cheered for long life and complained about the extensive vaults.
We're almost there, as for Luchesi--
Luchesi knows not the difference between luchesi and Amontillado!
Montresor explained how they were a great and numerous family. Fortunato was curious about Montresors arms, to which Montresor responded "A huge foot d'or, in a field of azure; the foot crushes a serpent rampant whose fangs are imbedded in the heel." and the motto was "Nemo me impune lacessit."
Funny joke Montresor, now unchain me so I may try the Amontillado.
After Fortunato finished the bottle of Medoc, Montresor grabbed him a flagon of De Grave, Fortunato then threw the empty bottle of De Grave. Montresor looked confused, fortunato the declared that Montresor was not of the Masons. Montresor Stated otherwise and showed Fortunato a trovel as proof.
Yes, let us be gone.
He he he! Let us get the Amontillado and be gone.
The torches light was greatly dimmed inhibiting either Montresor or Fortunato from seeing clearly, due to the lack of oxygen. Montresor once again mentioned Luchesi to ensure that Fortunato's desire for Amotillado was at its peak.
Montresor chained up Fortunato and said that he had to leave Fortunato momentarily, before uncovering stone and mortar. Fortunato still mostly concerned about the Amontillado weeped as Montresor began building the first tier of the wall.
Fortunato was now yelling and crying realizing he was going to die here, as the effects of the alcohol wore off still hoping that it's just a joke that they could have over a glass of wine. Montresor threw a torch in and placed the last brick he then called out Fortunato's name twice without an answer.
