After the minor thanes are joined by the Scottish Nobles, Birnham wood approaches the castle, where Macduff meets Macbeth. Macbeth's confidence is then knocked after he finds out that Macduff was 'from his mother's womb, untimely ripped,' and not technically born. They fight for the last time, and Macbeth is slain, leaving Malcolm to be crowned King of Scotland.
After returning to the castle and finding out that he is the new Thane of Cawdor, he writes a letter to his wife lady Macbeth informing her of the witches prophecies and how one had come true. She starts plotting to kill King Duncan so that her husband can become king.
Lady Macbeth tells him of her plans to kill Macbeth, and although he is reluctant, he eventually agrees.
I do fear thy nature. It is too full o'th' milk of human kindness!
Lady Macbeth drugs the guards while Macbeth kills King Duncan in his sleep. Lady Macbeth then take the daggers and frames the guards for the murder. When Duncan's two sons, Malcolm and Dunblain, find out about the death of their father, they flee in fear of their own lives, so Macbeth is made King instead of them.
Macbeth then orders a group of murderers to kill Banquo and his son Fleance, who he was out riding with. That night Macbeth is hosting a feast, when one of the murderers comes to tell him that they killed Banquo, but his son escaped. Macbeth then sees Banquo's ghost at the table and starts cursing it, so his wife tells everyone to leave.
None of woman born shall harm Macbeth!
Macbeth returned to the witches for answers, and after seeing the three apparitions they summon up for him, he feels confident that he will die of old age. He then orders a group of murderers to kill his wife and son. This angers Mcduff, so he decides to march against the King with Malcolm.
Macbeth shall never vanquished be until Great Birnham Wood to high Dunsinane hill shall come against him!
