Storyboard Text

  • Oh right! The newspaper! The MET bought it for only $225 at an auction from someone named Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler and some say it could be made by Michelangelo!
  • The next day...
  • Ooh, look at this statue!
  • I read about it somewhere...
  • I want to figure out if it really is!
  • Later, about bed time...
  • ?
  • Hmm?
  • Oh, look! Michelangelo's symbol is indented on the velvet! It must have been on the bottom of Angel!
  • Hey, Jamie! Let's research it in the library tommorrow for proof it's made by Michelangelo!
  • They found nothing. They spent hours and hours, but nothing about Angel could be found anywhere.
  • We could send an anonymous letter to the museum to tell them to look under the statue if they want to know if its made by Michelangelo and ask us if they need help.
  • That's exactly what they did. They refrained from checking their mail box so they could still have the excitement of waiting, and they still didn't want to know if they got a letter back or not. They finally checked and found a letter saying that the museum had already known that, but appreciated their help anyway. The kids were sad, and Jamie said that he wanted to go home, but Claudia still wanted to know the truth about Angel. They decided to go to Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler's house and ask her if she knew.
