Desperate for acceptance the creature clings to DeLacey begging, "Now is the time! Save and protect me! You and your family are the friends whom I seek" (Shelley 115).
In a rage, the creature burns down the cottage in which the humans had inhabited.
The creature spends a great deal of time wandering the mountains and heading towards Geneva in seek of revenge on his creator.
When he is walking he stumbles upon a young boy who calls himself by the name of Frankenstein. As a action of vengeance he strangles the boy to death.
Victor encounters his creature in the mountains and the creature explains his life , all he wants is somebody to love him so he demands, "My companion... one as deformed and horrible as myself... you must create" (Shelley 123).
Victor is making his journey to England with his friend Clerval to speak with educated scientists and begin his creation of the creature's companion.
