The Constitution is a set of basic principles that determines the powers and duties of a government. The U.S. Constitution was written by a number of people like Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. George Washington also was overseeing the writing of the Constitution.
Suffrage is voting rights. Adults have suffrage or voting rights when they go to vote in elections. After the Revolutionary war woman fought for a long time for suffrage and finally got it in 1920 and is in the 19th amendment!
The Articles of Confederation is a document that created the first central government for the U.S. but was replaced by the constitution in 1789. The Articles of Confederation was written in November 1777. It was written by 13 different delegates from the 13 different states.The Articles of Confederation had 13 articles! It was replaced in 1789 though by the Constitution.
