  • Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

  • "Infiltration of any one group must remain concealed to most, if not all, of the others" (8).
  • Greg is starting his senior year at Benson High School and works very hard on his reputation. He is apart of every group, but not a part of any group.
  • "Earl and I are friends. Sort of. Actually, Earl and I are more like co-workers" (61).
  • Greg creates films, that are not very good, along side his co-worker, Earl.
  • After Greg's first day of school, his mother informs him that Rachel Kushner, a fellow classmate, has been diagnosed with leukemia.
  • "Honey, Rachel has been diagnosed with leukemia" (34).
  • "ou are going to pick up your phone, you are going ot cell Rachel, you are going to arrange to spend" (54).
  • Greg's mother then forces Greg to call Rachel and hang out with her.
  • Rachel begns chemotherapy at the hospital. While there, Earl lends Rachel his copy of Greg and Earl's films. On the condition that she wasn't allowed to them to anyone else. Greg does not like Earl giving the films to Rachel. Although, Rachel ends up loving their substandard films.
  • "man that girl has a damn bag full of chemicals in her body right now, she needs something to cheer her the hell up, she happy as hell about these films" (167).
