  • After the French & Indian War the British were in debt, to solve the problem the government had decided to make the American colonies pay a large share through different acts of taxes. During so, the Sons of liberty attacked British officials' homes, and Thomas Paine published 'Common Sense'. With independence won the United States was born.
  • After sending military help and resources for the American revolution France was poor. The french people were starving in debt while King Louis lived lavishly with the nobilities who didn't have to pay taxes at that. As time went on the legislative Assembly declared war on Austria and Prussia in hopes to spread it's revolutionary ideas through warfare. Following the execution of King Louis the Reign of terror begin leaving thousands dead. The french revolution led to the declaration of rights and spread of the Enlightenment across Europe.
