C = How would the story change if Ms. Wyman was the principle?
Miss Carle, please drop all this non-sense and return to class at once!
Fine! I'm going... but this isn't fair!
A = How would the story change if Addie was short instead of tall?
She sat down during the pledge...!
Maybe those skinny little legs of her's couldn't hold her up!
What's everybody laughing at?
M = How would the story change if Bobby was popular?
Hey there, Jimmy.
OMG!!!!! It's Bobby Goodspeed! You're my idol!
If Ms. Wyman was the principle, Addie might have obeyed her more. Usually, students respect people with higher authority, such as the principle. Even though Addie is a hard-headed, ambitious girl, I believe she would find a tiny ounce of respect to listen to the principle. Addie might have stood up and said the pledge and the No-Name Party wouldn't have started.
P = How could Bobby have used a locker instead of a phone to communicate with Kelsey?
I hope Kelsey doesn't know who they're from...
I wonder who gave me this...
If Addie was short, she would have been called names for being small instead of tall. She would be assigned names like midget instead of names like skyscraper. DuShawn probably still would have liked Addie, seeing as he is all about equality and being able to look past someone's color. Addie wouldn't be taken seriously. Standing up during the pledge would mostly likley lead to a laughing crowd rather than a 3rd Party.
E = What would happen if Addie wasn't in "The Group of Five"?
What party are you going to vote for?
I don't know yet, Bobby. Probably, democratic.
If Bobby was popular, the whole story would change. Bobby would have confidence. He would most likely hang around a different group of friends. He wouldn't be in the party and the No-Name Party wouldn't exist, since Bobby had come up with the idea. The name-calling issue wouldn't have been brought up to attention.
R = What could happen if Mr. Kellerman's mother died before he met Bobby?
Mr. Kellerman, I just sold a tie like this for 10 dollars instead of 100... I read the tag wrong. I'm sorry.
Bobby could have used Kelsey's locker to write her notes. Under an alias or incognito, he could have told her his feelings. He wouldn't have embarrassed himself and when the time was right, come out and tell Kelsey it was him. It would be a secretive way of getting attention from Kelsey. It also gives Bobby some mystery as to who he is.
If Addie was not in "The Gang of Five", the whole idea of the 3rd Party wouldn't exist. Addie started the whole idea of even having a 3rd party run. She might have done it by herself, but the idea would probably be denied by Ms. Wyman and Mr. Kiley. The other 3 members of "The Gang of Five" would discuss their topics like the upcoming election. They wouldn't have thoroughly acknowledged with the name calling issue.
Mr. Kellerman might have been more understanding towards Bobby. As shown in the text, Mr. Kellerman was kinder and less harsh after his mother passed. He had more sympathy, like they know what the other is going through. His nickname might have not been "The Killer Man". Bobby would be looking forward to work instead of dreading it because of his boss.
It's okay. Just get the customer back here to sort all this back in order.
