  • Holy moly! What a bad idea it was to bring my family to this foreign country.
  • Oh man, I really want to get out of this place!
  • Why is there so many insects?
  • How did I get this disease, and why is there blood on our doors?
  • Jacob and his family moved from Canaan to Egypt because there was a famine and Egypt had a lot of grain, etc. As the Hebrew population grew, the Pharaoh grew mistrustful because the Hebrews practiced Monotheism, which was different from Egyptian Polytheism. The pharaoh enslaved them.
  • Finally! We are back home in Canaan.
  • Freedom!
  • Moses was an Israelite, but grew up in the Pharaoh's palace as a prince of Egypt. God instructed Moses to free the Israelites from slavery, so he asked the pharaoh for permission to fulfil this covenant.
  • Moses, here are the 10 Commandments.
  • First, God gave several diseases to Egyptians. Second, there was an insect swarm. Finally, God killed every first born son of all Egyptian families. Passover is the week that Egyptians celebrate their freedom from slavery.
  • Since we easily conquered Jericho, I think we should conquer this place
  • The Israelites traveled from Egypt to Canaan. They lived in desert for 40 years, until they reconquered the "Promised land".
  • Moses went to the top of Mount Sinai to meet with God. He returned with the 10 Commandments and other laws. These lawas told the Israelites how to behave, by using ethical behavior.
  • To start their conquest on Canaan, the Israelites conquered the high-walled city of Jericho, which lead to the conquering of various cities.
