  • A common way of reducing rolling friction is to lubricate the surfaces of machines, which slid over each other with oil. To reduce fluid Friction you can wear helmets and knee pads.
  • What are the pros and cons of friction?
  • Things would be very different if we did not have friction. If there were not friction tires would grab to the surface it is on. This would pretty much make the invention of cars obsolete, and we would have to find a method of transportation.Wastes energy - In any type of vehicle—such as a car, boat or airplane—excess friction means that extra fuel must be used to power the vehicle. In other words, fuel or energy is being wasted because of the friction. Fluid friction or air resistance can greatly reduce the gas mileage in an automobile.
