Storyboard Text

  • A zebra is found in its natural habitat.
  • An oxpecker spies the zebra and realizes that it is hungry and will eat the ticks on the zebras skin.
  • They are both benefiting from this symbiotic relationship called mutualism.  The oxpecker is eating the parasites that would harm the zebra.
  • A dog is resting outside of his home.
  • In this picture we can see that there is a flea attached to his skin.
  • This type of symbiotic relationship is called parasitism. In this relationship the flea is the only one benefiting from the host.
