  • Hello young man! Do I know you?
  • Hi Mr. Durham. I am Andy.
  • How may I assist you Andy?
  • I'm studying your report in 1837 about Rebellions. I am wondering if you could give me some information.
  • It was a long story but I can tell you briefly what happened.
  • Thanks, that would be great!
  • As the British had lost the Thirteen colonies, they violently put down the rebellions to not lose Upper and Lower Canada and keep them under British rule.
  • Oh!!! That's why you were appointed as the leader of the Royal Commission, and came up with those three suggestions that changed the history of Upper and Lower Canada.
  • Wow! You pay attention in class! I believed the only way to resume the peace was Lower and Upper Canada to union under English majority.
  • You also believed that the colonists should have more power to govern themselves with less British role. I somewhat agree with your opinion that the French didn't have much history and/or literature to protect.
  • Sorry I am in a hurry. You can stop by later to discus more about this topic
  • Thanks for your time. I will definitely come over later.
