Storyboard Text

  • Can you believe it babe, four years together! This is so exciting!
  • You’re so silly, but I guess you were worth losing that shirt for. Now let’s go already, I’m starving!
  • I know, it feels like just yesterday that we bumped into each other at this very restaurant and I spilled butter onto your shirt. I guess you can say it was an accident made in heaven!
  • The couple pulls up to their local Red Lobster and see a group of people protesting outside of the building.
  • What are all those people over there holding signs for?
  • I don’t know, that’s strange. They’re probably just looking for people to sign some petition or something.
  • Red Lobster
  • Lobster? Why would anyone protest against lobster of all things?
  • Zach and Elise are approached by one friendly protester.
  • Good afternoon! Do you by any chance have a moment to learn about the unfortunate circumstances many lobster farmers must go through to get seafood to your plate?
  • Umm… sure, why not? I studied Environmental Science in college, this sounds interesting enough.
  • Red Lo
  • Well you see, while lobster is still delicious, the demand for them has dropped quite a bit in the United States in the past few years. This may seem great for the lobsters, but not so much for the divers who catch them in countries such as Honduras and Nicaragua.
  • Red Lo
  • In 2009, lobster divers made $3.00 per pound of lobster caught, and now they only make $1.90 for the same amount! This is causing many of them to now be unable to feed their families unless they work twice as hard, and trust me, lobster farming is hard enough as is.
