Storyboard Text

  • Gaea, the Earth, child of Light and Love, gave birth to Uranus, the Sky.
  • Welcome, my son, to this Earth of mine.
  • As strange as it may seem,   the mother and son fell in love as  Uranus grew older.  They got married, and Uranus became the supreme ruler  of all creation.
  • Gaea and Uranus had many children together, three of which were the Hundred-Handed  Ones.  These creatures each  had fifty heads and one hundred arms. Gaea also gave birth  to the Cyclopes, one-eyed creatures.
  • We,   Brontes, Steropes, and Arges, are the Cyclopes!
  • To Tartarus he goes!
  • Uranus knew that one day, his offspring , with their  great strength, would   overthrow  him as the supreme ruler.  He didn't take kindly to this,   so  he banished his sons  to Tartarus to be chained to the floor for eternity!
  • But he is only a child!
  • Gaea  told  her next  set of children, the  Titans, of their father's actions. She asked if any of them were willing to defeat  Uranus, and young Cronus rose to the occasion.
  • Your father imprisoned your brothers in fear that they would take his power. Are any of you willing to stop  his madness?
  • Ha! You cowards! I'll help you, mother!
  • With the sickle he  received from his mother, Cronus defeated Uranus! But then - oh no! Cronus betrayed his mother, and took the throne  for himself without freeing his brothers!
  • Wonderful! Let's free your brothers now!
  • I'm in control now,  so you bow down to me! Therefore, I will not help you!
