  • i will stop in some snowy woods at night.
  • The speaker isn't nervous about being seen, he just wants to see the snow.  He thinks his horse might think its weird to stop in the middle of nowhere, especially on the darkest night of the year. The horse shakes his harness bells to ask if somethings wrong. the bells broke the silence. the speaker wants to stay here forever but he cannot, he must keep going
  • The poem can be a metaphor for life and his journey, or he just wanted to tell us about his trip
  • The tone is calm and thoughtful, but his thoughts change when he realizes he has to keep going and cannot stop
  • Attitude/tone
  • The speaker desires peace of mind, so he doesnt give up. He keeps going.
  • Shifts
  • The snow can be see as comfort or something holding our author. he might feel lost in the woods and he feels at home in the dark
