Storyboard Text

  • Come on, guys! We need to escape now before they come!
  • Where are we going?? Are we going back home??
  • We're escaping. It's just not safe and we are going somewhere that is a lot safer and better for all of us.
  • Why are you guys escaping?
  • That was the same for us too!
  • Our houses were boomed and we didn't want to risk another war! We had to escape or else we are going to die!
  • Olivia's house has been destroyed and a war is about to take place where she lives! Olivia's family needs to escape Iraq to Turkey before the war starts.
  • Come on, guys! We have to keep on going. We are nearly there and I know it!
  • Their only escape was to walk in the desert since they didn't have much money to hop on a boat or a plane. They didn't know where to go so they follow other people who are escaping too.
  • Look, guys! I can see a house! There must be a town around here somewhere! Come on! We are nearly there! Let's go!
  • YAYYYY!!!
  • They all had to find shelter since it started raining and it was dark. They all got together and started talking. These people were escaping for the same reason too. They went to sleep under shelter so they could get prepared for days of walking.
  • I'm very happy that we escaped!!
  • I know! They didn't really accept us at the start since we were different but I'm happy we escaped!
  •  The group stuck together. They walked for days and days, eating and drinking anything they could. Their legs were in sharp pain and their eyes were tired and were filled with sand. But they didn't stop. They knew that they were near safety.
  • They finally spotted a house on a farm. They could see a hill with lots of houses on it too. They were in Turkey! They had to be careful so they didn't get caught.
  • Even though the people at first didn't accept them, they surrounded themselves with good people and got jobs as soon as they could. It was hard getting a job and doing other things since they were different. They felt good that they escaped before the war started otherwise they wouldn't have survived.
