Storyboard Text

  • Persephone is Demeter's daughter the goddess of good harvest. Persephone is loved by every she is know for her kindness. Persphone was in the forest looking for flowers one day. She smelled something so sweet and amazing she wanted to give the flower to her mother. She wandered off from the people she was with. 
  • Persephone wandered away and while she was trying to find to flower the ground cracked open. Hades came out of the crack in his flaming chariot. Hades had noticed her on one of his visits to the world above.  He liked her gentle kindness and wanted a queen to rue next to him. And so he brought he to the underworld.
  • OH NO!! She has eaten.
  • Persephone cried and cried for her mom. Hades persisted she eat but Persephone knew once you at something from the underworld you would be trapped. He went everyday for her to eat and everyday she rejected. One day Persephone let her guard down a little and let him show her his kingdom.
  • Back to the world above, Demeter is looking for Persephone everywhere. She found out from the God of Sun that Hades had taken her and he even went over the plan with Zeus She went to Zeus she furious and wanted to her daughter back. Zeus sent a messenger to persuade Hades to let Persephone go back to the world above. 
  • Hades offered Persephone a pomegranate and she ate six seeds. At this time the messenger was arriving. He was to late, he was good with words so he would have negotiate with Hades. Hades told him that she ate six seeds so for six months Persephone would be with him in the underworld. For the other six months he could be with Demeter
  • That was the agreement. And so for six moths Persephone was with Hades in the underworld. That was while Demeter was crying for her daughter, Fall and Winter. Finally when she was coming back Demeter made everything bloom and look pretty. That is the season of Spring and Summer. That is how it went from then on out.
