A boy is sitting all alone when the super hero by the name of exponential power comes to save the day. Exponential power shows off his awesome mathematical tattoos to the boy and explains their meanings.
Thanks! Now this problem - 5^4 / 5^2. How do i do it?
This one is called the quotient rule. You have to subtract the exponents to get 5^2. Wahlaaa!
I understand! but, now this one..? - 7^3 / 7^7
Thats simple! All you do is subtract the exponents to get 7^-4. Then, since there is a negative, you put that in the denominator and a 1 in the numerator. This is the negative exponent rule.
Cool! Now i have this problem - 0^0.
There's a simple solution to this one - anything to the 0 power will always equal 1. This is called the zero exponent rule!
