  • In 1846 500 Americans lived in California. The Bear Flag revolt was when the U.S. settlers revolted against the Mexican government and adopted a flag with a bear.

  • What president number is President Polk? How did the U.S. quickly become better equipped than their enemy? Why did California adopt the bear flag? Why is Mexico still a country today?
  • Santa Anna reinstated his power in 1846 and went on the attack. The war went on and Mexico City fell in 1847.
