  • Henry VIII was born on June 8, 1491 in Greenwich, London, England, United Kingdom
  • Henry VIII took to the throne in 1509.He had 6 wives.
  • He was the author of a best selling book that attacked Martin Luther's ideas and sided with the catholic church.
  • Of course I did!
  • The importance of the book was that Martin Luther's ideas were thought of highly and the idea of going against them was unheard.
  • Henry wanted to divorce one of his wives, but the church would not allow him to, so he created the religion called angelican.
  •     His lasting contribution was the reformation and his saying " divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived."
