  • The exposition is when Roger tries to steal Mrs. Jones purse. He fails and she ends up picking him up and yelling at him in front of the town.
  • The conflict is when Mrs. Jones picked Roger up and started dragging him to her house while he continues to struggle.
  • The rising action is when Mrs. Jones takes Roger to her house and tells him to go to the bathroom and wash his face instead of yelling and screaming at him.
  • The climax is when Roger is sitting on the bed freely thinking either to run or to sit there. He decides not to escape and he stays on the bed.
  • The falling action is when Mrs. Jones is telling Roger she isn't going to call the police because she did stuff she isn't proud of in her past.
  • The resolution is when Mrs. Jones gives Roger $10 to buy the blue swede shoes he wanted with the money in the first place and tells him next time he should just ask for the money.
