  • The stomach receives food from the esophagus, and the stomach secretes acid and enzymes to digest it.
  • The large intestine absorbs water from the remaining food matter and transmits the rest from the body.
  • The pancreas further digests the food and helps regulate your blood sugar.
  • The small intestine absorbs minerals from food and absorbs water before it is passed to the large intestine.
