  • All of the Iroquois Confederation Tribes sided with the British in the Revolutionary War, except for the Oneida and Tuscarora Tribes.
  • The Tribes fighting for the British took revenge on the Oneida and Tuscarora by capturing and executing several men and burning their most important villages.
  • No! Not my son!
  • If only he hadn't gotten that terrible disease, Smallpox....
  • Many Indians in the Iroquois Confederacy died during the time of the Revolution because of diseases like smallpox, which their bodies were not used to.
  • In this picture, the Mohawk, who sided with the British, are standing to the left while the Oneida, who sided with the colonists, are standing to the right.
