Kate was born at 10 o'clock on November 20th. Just a week after her due date of November 13th.
The labor was very short, only six hours from start to finish.
The labor was so short in fact, that I could not have an epidural. It was also so short that my sister did not make it in time for the birth.
She was born in the small town of Bloomington Indiana, at the Bloomington hospital. Only my husband and the doctors and nurses were in the room.
The labor was a little difficult though. I had nausea throughout my entire pregnancy.
The labor was not the hardest part for me. When Kate popped out with her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. She was already blue from lack of oxygen.
Katherine was the only girl name we had picked out, though we did know that she would be a girl. She moved around a lot and had quite a few bouts of hiccups.
