I wake up with a start, ready for the magical fun filled day I would have with the book of fairytales. All I had to do was read the first two lines of a story I chose, get poofed into the story, and keep the book with me till the very end. With that I decided to go with Cinderella, I read the first lines and poofed into character.
The Cinderella story began. I scrubbed and scrubbed away all the stains on clothes, washed the floors till they were squeaky clean and did this all with my own two hands and some cleaning supplies. As expected my evil stepsisters get an invite to a ball that I am forbidden to attend. Once they leave a fairy godmother gets me ready for the ball and tells me that all the magic will be gone by midnight. I went to the castle with a stunning blue sparkly dress with clear glass shoes which were a perfect fit. When I first get in I see many people with beautiful gowns and tuxedos.
I put my book down and went to eat some food at the snack table. The prince scooped me up and the evening was filled with dancing and laughing. The clock strikes 12 and I was off. My glass slipper slips off, the prince finds it and he searches for me. He finally finds me with the help of the glass slipper and we live happily ever after.
The fairytale ended but something was missing. I went up to my room to start another fairytale till I realized the book was missing! I panicked, I didn’t know how to get it back. There was one rule with the book, at the end of the story you have to end with the book in your hands. But I didn’t and I had no idea what would happen to me or the book. “Cinderella get your butt down here now!” The voice sounded very familiar, then I knew it was the stepsisters from Cinderella.
I then suspected that the fairytale would repeat itself till I end with the book in my hands. I quickly recalled the events that took place and suddenly remembered that I left the book at the snack table during the ball. I quickly scrub the floors as the sisters get ready for the ball. Once they leave I get ready and leave for the ball as well. I got to the ball and went to the snack table.
There it was in all its glory. I grab the book and hug it. I get swooped by the prince again and we dance till midnight. I head home and lose the glass slipper again but this time I still have the book. The prince searches for me with the help of the glass slipper and finds me. We dance and live happily ever after. The story ended and this time I had the book in my hands. Everything was back to normal and I learned my lesson. Never to leave the book anywhere. And with this I start my new adventure in a new fairytale, spinning straw out of gold.
