Week 2- pages 97- 174 Serafina and the Splintered Heart by Robert Beatty
This storyboard does not have a description.
'"I told you to leave me alone... I'm through with you!'"
'"I haven't been bothering you,'" she whispered "'I just got here'"
"'Who are you?'"
"'Don't be frightened,...Just tell me your name. No harm can come from that'"
Serafina wonders the forest as a spirit trying to find the only one who she believes can hear her, the sorceress. Although she ran without saying anything before now she needed the sorceress so she could learn what had happened to her. However, when she finds the sorceress she is quite surprised to find it is her old enemy Rowena.
At first when she arrives Rowena doesn't do anything but eventually Rowena turns to her and starts yelling. But when it is clear that Rowena wasn't yelling at who she thought she was she asks the unknown spirit what her name is, as the sorceress can only hear spirits not see them. Serafina then hesitates to respond thinking Rowena would be very unhappy to hear it was her, and she turns out to be right.
I chose this scene because it marks the point in which you start to learn what has happened to Serafina and why she is a spirit.
