  • The King and Queen of Thebes have a son named Oedipus. However, they are given a fate that his son will kill his father. They decided to get rid of their son.  Another couple of kings find Oedipus and took him in. 
  • Climax
  • Oedipus is with a friend who tells him he is adopted. He seeks an oracle and is told that he will kill his father. He leaves the town to avoid killing his "Father". 
  • Falling Action
  • Oedipus heads out towards Thebes. A man on his way gets mad because he is going to slow. They fight and Oedipus ends up killing the man and most of his men except for one which escapes without Oedipus knowing. He then meets Sphinx who makes him solve a riddle for his life, he solves it correct and Sphinx kills itself. The citizens of Thebes crowns him King being that their king is missing. He marries the queen.  
  • Resolution
  • Oedipus realizes that he killed the king. The queen puts all the points together and kills herself. Oedipus punishes himself and gouged out his eyes. 
  • Once noticing that the queen killed herself, he too put everything together and realized he killed his father and married his mother. The fate came to be whether he wanted or not. He banished himself with his two daughters. 
  • He spends his rest of his roaming as a blind man around the whole world.
