  • Cabinet battle
  • We need a national bank!

  • Whiskey Rebellion

  • Don't give any supplies to either side!
  • Please, sir! They helped us, why can't we help them?
  • Hamilton’s job was to get the country out of debt. Hamilton's plan was to of paying off the country's debt, making a national bank, and tariffs. Jefferson didn’t agree because the south already had their taxes paid and Jefferson was afraid the government would over rule the country. 
  • Hamilton saw a problem, so he taxed the whiskey and a group of citizens came together to make a rebellion, and Washington had to place the neighborhood militia because it got so out of hand, and then the whiskey rebellion started. 
  • Washington issues a proclamation that barred American ships from supplying war material to either side. Jefferson tried to convince Washington to help France since we won our war of freedom because of France, but Washington decided to stay neutral.
