  • My weavings are beautiful, I'm probably better than Athene.
  • I am way better than Athene, this is my own gift.
  • I bet Athene gave her that gift.
  • I challenge Athene to a weaving compatition.
  • Arachne had a beautiful gift of weaving. She would weave for her father's shop and make beautiful pictures in them.
  • I heard you have been saying you can beat me.
  • Everyone thought Athene gave her the gift of weaving, so she got mad because it was her own special gift.
  • She told everyone that she would beat Athene in a weaving compatition. She thought she was better than the goddess Athene.
  • Maybe this will teach you not to mess with a god!
  • Athene came down to earth and told her to compete with her. Arachne did not back down.
  • I can beat you
  • Athene and Arachne had a competition to see who was better at weaving. Arachne thought it would be clever to weave bad things about the gods while they were competing, Athene was upset because of it.

  • Athene got so mad at her that she wanted to teach her a lesson. She thought of the worst thing she could do and turned her in to a spider.
