  • On the 4th of July was when America had declared independance. 
  • It was the birth of a new nation. A new promise that America had made to itself. A Declaration of Independence which gave us rights. 
  • This day reminds us of the hardships and challenges, as a country we have faced. It shows every citizen that we are doing this together, as one.
  • Two days before out beloved nations independance, the old Continental Congress had met.
  • America had once belonged to England. British folk had traveled to the United States for a better life. But once Britain kept in control, they wanted a free govenment, a free country. 
  • The colonies wanted their freedom and rights. So the United States went against the British Crown. The colonies had finally decided to break apart from Great Britain.
