Storyboard Text

  • Indeed I do, today is February of 1945. You haven't heard?
  • Good day sir, do you have the date?
  • Today the Yalta Conference takes place
  • Heard of what exactly?
  • And what will be established at this Conference?
  • Well I'm headed there now, you can join if you like. We shall walk and talk.
  • Two men walk the streets of their local market when Reuben asks his nearby neighbor what the date may be. To which Jeffrey responds and follows with a question.
  • For starters this Conference will be to assure the defeat of Nazi Germany in the shortest period of time, with the least loss of life to the allied side.
  • The purpose is to find the diplomatic. But we are waiting to hear the overall solution. Rumors say the USSR will retain land in Poland, and have special rights to certain islands and Chinese lands.
  • Jeffrey begins to identify the significance of this date
  • Is it true the Soviet Union would receive half of the war reparations from Germany?
  • Reuben asks for better insight of this Conference and Jeffrey offers to discuss it on there journey.
  • It is true, but here we are live at the Yalta Conference. Stalin, Roosevelt, & Churchill should be arriving soon. There is also another conference scheduled in April so hopefully we meet again in San Francisco.
  • Well I thank you Jeffrey for the voyage and for the lesson you've taught me today, next trip I should be able to give you insight on the creation of the U.N.
  • Jeffrey explains Germany's loss as related to this Conference.
  • Wow, so what is the purpose?
  • Jeffrey explains the purpose
  • Both Reuben & Jeffrey arrive at the Conference in which they share their goodbyes and prepare for their next trip.
