The sun produces light rays due to hydrogen atoms forming into helium. The process goes by chemical energy. Due to that process, the sun produces light energy.
The solar panels on the roof of the house absorb light energy. The crystalline plates on the panel deflect protons and neutrons and allow electrons through the electric current behind the panel. The energy the solar panels produce is electric energy.
With the electrons passing through the electric current, they can power anything electrical if the electrical object is plugged to an outlet. For example, a stereo is plugged to an outlet, which leads to the electrons going through the outlet into the stereo. With the stereo powered up, it converts electrical energy to sound energy. It produces sound by vibrating the material in the speakers.
