  • Hold, Tybalt! Good Mercutio!
  • Act 3 Scene 2
  • Did ever dragon keep so fair a cave?
  • Act 3 Scene 3
  • Not body's death, but body's banishment.
  • Tyblat and Mercutio get into a fight; Romeo comes along and tries to stop the fight, but ends up getting in Mercutio's way allowing Tyblat to kill him. Romeo then kills Tybaly for revenge, but is banished by the Prince for fighting.
  • Act 3 Scene 4
  • The nurse brings news of Tybalt's death and Romeo's banishment to Juliet. Juliet weeps and ponders whose side deserves her loyalty more, her family's or her husband's. When she decides Romeo's the nurse goes to fetch him to comfort her.

  • Hang thee, young baggage, disobedient wretch!
  • Romeo is throwing a temper tantrum while he is lost in self-pity. Frair Lawrence tries to comfort him and offer him advice. The nurse arrives to fetch Romeo and he goes to see Juliet.

  • Lord Capulet says that Paris can marry Juliet to make her happy while she mourns.
  • Madam, good night. Commend me to your daughter.
  • Romeo and Juliet say goodbye to each other one last time before he must go. When Juliet's mother brings news of her arranged marriage, Juliet says she does not wish to marry Paris. Lord Capulet comes up and proceeds to yell at Juliet until they leave Juliet upset. Juliet asks her nurse for advice and is told to give Paris a chance.
