  • The Korean war begians
  • USA joins the fight
  • U.S. send troops to Incon
  • June 25, 1950, North Korea unexpectedly crosses the 38th parallel into South Korea. This action had previously been approved by Stalin and was viewed as a clear Communist act of aggression. Within a couple of days. American soldiers in Japan go to South Korea.
  • UN and USA croess the 38th Prallel
  • President Harry Truman sends U.S. troops to Korea. The U.S. and other countries in the United Nations join the war because they want to stop communism from spreading to South Korea.
  • North and South Korea agree to an Armistice
  • General Douglas MacArthur leads an invasion into South Korea at the city of Inchon. From there, the United Nations troops go to Seoul and take it back from North Korea.
  • Korean war legcay
  • October, 1950 President Truman orders UN and American forces to cross the 38th parallel in an attempt to unify Korea. This leads to three more years of fighting.
  • July 27, 1953, North Korea and South Korea agree to an armistice. This create a neutral zone called the Demilitarized Zone to separate the countries.
  • That even to this day the armistce still stands. This is also the first time that the USA has not won a war. it is one of the first time that the people that came home were not wellcome home. Most people forgot about this war.
