  • "A ROAD NOT TAKEN" TWIST ANALYSIS
  • T - TONE
  •                 W - WORD CHOICE
  • Aiyanah Batton
  •                                     I - IMAGERY
  • Tone - calm. "I shall be telling this with a sigh." I feel like he's quite calm, he doesn't seem to be bothered by
  • S - STYLE
  • Word Choice- Straightforward. From stanza 1 it states "And be one traveler. long I stood. And looked down one as far as I could." The narrator is just telling you what he is doing, no reason to guess.
  • T - THEME
  • Imagery - I see this quote as this... From stanza three it states "Two roads diverged in a wood.." as this quote is wired in my head, i think of a wooden bridge, but of course i couldn't do that.
  • Style - consists of four stanzas . The rhyme scheme is ABAAB. An example is from stanza one, Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel bothAnd be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I couldTo where it bent in the undergrowth;
  • Theme - The theme of this story is about making choices. My evidence is from stanza four, "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." This shows us that the narrator has finally made a choice.
