Macbeth and The Witching Hour have many differences. For example both plays have completely different time periods and settings. Macbeth takes place in Scotland during the 11th century, some scenes take place in England. In comparison, The witching Hour mainly takes place in New Orleans with some scenes being in California and England. Macbeth is more realistic, Macbeth just wants to rule and be a king by killing Duncan. There are many foreshadowings about their death. The Witching Hour is more of a mythical book and provides a different feeling of atmosphere while reading it. There are may super natural events . Aaron Lightner which is a spirit named Lasher wishes to be in form of a human being so he can walk the earth again. Lasher will try to suduce Rowan so he can become reincarnated again. Both Macbeth and Lusher want a different type of power.
The Witching Hour and Macbeth have a similar plot and motivation. Lasher and Macbeth both want power for their own benefit. Lasher wishes to be made flesh and Macbeth wants to become king. Another similarity is how Lasher tells Rowan to do what he says in order for him to become human. In comparison, Lady Macbeth tells Macbeth to kill Duncan so he can become king. Lady Macbeth and Lasher are compelling and convincing Macbeth and Rowan. They used violence to gain power and get what they wanted. Both are capable to killing anyone that gets in their way.
