One day 3 friends were arguing about what conditions would make a drink explode. I came along to help. Joey thought that leaving a can in a hot car would explode the fastest.
Leaving a can in a hot car would make the particles move faster and farther apart and they will lose attraction. They temperature of the drink would be high. The spacing would spread out.
Freezing a can can also make it explode. When water freezes it expands and does no go closer. The particle movement would decrease. The drink will go from a liquid to a solid and its phase change would be freezing.
Also shaking a can can make it explode. The energy would come from shaking the can, The pressure would increase with the particles movement. And the evidence would be when you open the can all the fizz comes out.
