  • Scene 2
  • "Tybalt is gone and Romeo banished."

  • "Do so, and bid my sweet prepare to chide."
  • Tybalt and Mercutio fight, and Romeo tries to stop it, which leads to Mercutio's death. Soon after, Romeo is banished by Benvolio.
  • Scene 4
  • "O' Thursday, tell her, She shall be married to this noble earl."
  • The nurse tells Juliet that Romeo killed Tybalt and that he has been banished. She also gives Juliet a rope so that she can find Romeo.
  • Scene 5
  • An you be not, hang, beg, starve, die in the streets, For, by my soul, I’ll ne'er acknowledge thee, Nor what is mine shall never do thee good.
  • Romeo meets with Friar Lawrence after his banishment and speaks of the tragedy of this punishment. The nurse comes to Romeo and tells him to go to Juliet.
  • The parents of Juliet speak to Paris about their marriage. They decide that the wedding between Juliet and Paris will be on Thursday.
  • Romeo and Juliet reunite and reconcile until the nurse warns Juliet that her mother is coming. Juliet's parents tell Juliet that she has to marry Paris or she will be disowned by her family.
