Storyboard Text

  • Hello, Mrs. Smith! I'm Jon your respiratory therapist and I'm here to administer a breathing treatment; it looks like you have albuterol ordered Q4.
  • It doesn't seem like it has been that long since my last treatment, but if that't what you're suppose to do ok.
  • Hello Mrs. Smith! I'm Jane your nurse for today. How are you feeling today?
  • I'm actually feeling really shaky. I keeping getting these breathing treatments pretty often and at home I only take them when I need them.
  • Well the Dr has it ordered Q4, which is every 4 hours. If you only take it PRN at home and it is making you feel bad you are allowed to refuse treatment. The next time the respiratory therapist comes in just let him know you don't want a treatment at that time.
  • Oh, thank you so much for letting me know. I didn't know I was allowed to not do it. I don't want to be a bother, but I just think that I'm getting so much of that medicine that it's making me shaky.
  • Hello, Mrs. Smith! I'm back with your next treatment of albuterol.
  • I only take them when I need at home and I've been getting so many of these it is making me really shaky. I don't think I want another one right now.
  • Mrs. Smith how are you feeling?
  • I'm feeling a lot better after not getting that last treatment. Thank you so much for letting me know I didn't have to.
  • You never have to do anything you don't want to do, or anything you don't feel comfortable doing. We are just here to help you!
