Storyboard Text

  • Who is this guy?
  • I am Penguin Pete: Long Division Extrodinaire!
  • So cool, Petie. Talk to me about LOOOOONG division
  • Division can be done the traditional way or the partial quotients way. Let's do traditional.
  • You're a cool cat Petie. Show me how it's done!
  • You are a funny flamingo, but here goes. You have a divisor and a dividned
  • You see how many times the divisor can go into the first digit. Then think Dad= dividing, Mom= mulitipling, Sister= subtracting, Cousin= comparing and Brother= bring down
  • I'm listening Petie. But I need to disco to the tune while I groove on down divisor lane baby!
  • I love the division family idea! That helps me better understand how to disco my way through division! What if I have left overs? Can I make fractions?
  • You betcha Flamingo-Baby! Fractions are dynamite ways to report remainders!
  • 345 divided by 20 equals 17 and 5/20ths OR simplified to 17 and 1/4th. Let's celebrate by disco dancing! Peace Baby!
