  • similes
  • Simile #2
  • symobl
  • a simile is a comparison from one thing to another using the words like or as. One simile is when Millicent was sitting on a pile of logs and comparing that felling to being trapped in a selled jar
  • quote
  • Another simile would be on page 3. It is "with the lights clear and the air like honey," Which is saying that the air was sticky and gross in a weird way
  • character - millicent
  • a symbol is when a thing would represent something like danger or something good will happen to a person soon. a example the birds when the club was represented by sparrows and the rest of the people were heatherbirds
  • theme
  • BE who you are and don't do something you dont want to do. You dont have to be apart of something to be special
  • A quote is what a person is saying or doing and you copy it word for word using the " and" sign at the front and end of it. A quote from the story is "She could see now that she was sitting on was a woodpile next to the furnace. Millicent brushed back a strand of hair." in this quote she it was saying she was nervise but scared at the same time
  • Millicent is a dynamic character and she changes her opinion throughout the story and she goes from wanting so bad to be apart of a group/club to not caring about it and wanting to get out of it as fast as she could.
  • The theme of the book is the message of the story or the thing that you should take away from the story. The theme in this story is to not worry about fitting in and be yourself you shouldn't have to change to be apart of something you want to be apart of.
