The Stones :The symbol that i'm trying to show is that the stones represent death. The picture represent the scene where Tessie is stoned to death because of the lottery .The stones could represent the narrow-mindedness of the towns's people.
Tone & Theme
This lottery isn't fair .
The Village:The image I decided to recreate is the first scene where you see the village as happy and peaceful. " the flowers were blooming profusely and the grass was richly green." Line 2& 3. You would think that this town was perfect and nothing bad happen in this town
Repetition: The figurative language I chose to do was repetition . I chose to do this because it provides good evidence for the theme. The repetition of the line " it wasn't fair" shows that she doesn't want this ti happen she is seeing that it's not right.
Tone (odd) : The would be considered odd because most people would think of a lottery as a thing to celebrate for joyous times but in this story it's something to fear. While other lotteries bring wealth and good fortune this one only brings death and destruction.
Theme : The theme of this story would be rebellion against traditions . This is represented by Tessie not wanting her husband to die form the lottery so she tells them to try again , which only gets her killed in the end .
