King Odysseus is at home in Ithaca, with his wife Penelope, and a newborn son, Telemachus.
Odysseus leaves Ithaca, with his men, to go fight the Trojans in Troy.
Cross the Threshold/Departure
Odysseus and his men end up landing in the land of Lotus eaters. After eating the lotus plant, the men had no desire to go back home.
After successfully escaping the Polyphemus, they went to Aeolia where they met Aeolus. Also known as God of Winds. Aeolus gave the men a bag of storm winds to help push them back to Ithaca.
On their trip back home, Odysseus decided to take a nap. While he as napping his men opened the bag of wind, and it blew them all the way back to Aeolia. Since they couldn't get anymore help they went to the home of the Goddess. They meet Circe there.
When it is finally time to leave, Circe tells the men that they must go to the underworld before going back to Ithaca. When they went there Odysseus meets lots of ghosts. Including the ghost of his mother, ghost of Tiresias, ghost of a princess, and ghosts from the trojan war.
