A short, summarized version of "The Little Red Hen"
The little red hen started her morning similar to every morning by going out to collect food for her chicks. As she was searching for something appetizing, she came across unfamiliar seeds. She brought them back to her friends to see if they might be able to tell her what they were.
Once they told her that they were wheat seeds for making bread, the little red hen became determined to plant them even if it meant she had to do it alone.
As the seed turned into healthy stocks of wheat, the little red hen sought help for harvesting, but none of her friends would help, so she did it alone.
When it was time to take the harvest to the mill, the little red hen was left to do it alone again. She received her flour and a side of jam and headed home to bake her bread.
Again, none of her friends would help her bake the bread, so she did it herself. Once the loaf was cooked, the little red hen pulled it out of the oven, and the smell traveled across the field to her friends.
They came quickly to see if they could have some of the delicious bread, but the little red hen refused. Since they did not help her make the bread, she decided that she would enjoy it with her chicks.
